Cẩm Thanh, Hội An

A garden in Cẩm Thanh,
ten minutes from the lanterns.

Five studios and garden houses around a pool, in the coconut-palm water village on the quiet side of Hội An.

Cẩm Thanh, Hội An

Close enough to walk into the old town. Far enough to hear the birds.

AKA Garden Retreat sits among the coconut palms of Cẩm Thanh, on a lane of fruit trees and bamboo fences ten minutes from Hội An Ancient Town and a short ride from An Bàng beach. Five units — three studios and two two-bedroom houses — share a pool, a garden and an open pavilion, with a separate path for guests so the whole place stays quiet.

Cẩm Thanh and the water coconut forest

Where you are

Cẩm Thanh and the water coconut forest

Cẩm Thanh is the green edge of Hội An — a grid of waterways and nipa palm where the Thu Bồn river meets the sea. It is the reason to stay on this side of town: the Ancient Town is ten minutes by bicycle or scooter, An Bàng beach about fifteen, and at the end of the day you come back to somewhere that sounds like countryside.
