Cẩm Thanh is the green edge of Hội An, a grid of waterways and nipa palm where the Thu Bồn river meets the sea. It is the reason to stay on this side of town: the Ancient Town is ten minutes by bicycle or scooter, An Bàng beach about fifteen, and at the end of the day you come back to somewhere that sounds like countryside.
